I recently read an article about Jen Glantz, a woman who has been a bridesmaid so many times, she decided to offer her services as a Professional Bridesmaid.

Basically it sounds to me like she’s taken the path from bridesmaid to wedding planner / personal assistant to the bride. And why not? She’s had plenty of experience. If a professional DJ / emcee’s job is to make the family and friends feel like they’ve known the couple forever, why not a professional bridesmaid? Her good looks certainly don’t hurt being in photos either. But I can’t help but wonder what the brides who hire her will think when they look at their wedding photos years from now and see this hired-gun’s face.

Perhaps this is something we’ll see more of in the future, but for now, I’d stick to asking your friends to be in the bridal party and hiring professional vendors for the detailed work.
